The maintenance is also fairly easy when it comes to synthetic turf. You can clean it by using a pressure washer or simple garden hose. If there are rips and tears in the turf, it can be repaired or it can be replaced by a tennis court builder. You can also choose the shade of turf you want to fit with your landscape.
Clay Courts
Clay tennis courts offer several benefits, including a high level of playability. This type of court material offers a slower bounce rate for the ball, which can be important in ongoing tennis games. The slower ball bounce rate actually can help build your endurance as a player and does require you to increase your skill in order to keep the gaming going. Clay is often used for training.
Hard-Cushion Courts
If you will have your tennis court covered or enclosed, then a hard-cushioned court may be ideal. These types of courts have a professional and finished look that requires little maintenance. They also have the feel of a basketball gym floor, which gives a softer, more cushioned feel for the tennis players. You can go with a traditional green colour layout as well.
